The difference between the two course codes is that CPCWHS1001 superseded CPCCWHS1001 in 2022. Both refer to “Prepare to work safely in the construction industry”, but CPCWHS1001 is the current course code.

In Australia, the white card, or general construction induction card, is essential for anyone aspiring to work in construction. It’s issued after completing a construction induction training from a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). This card certifies that the holder is trained in vital safety practices necessary for the construction industry. Nationally recognised, it’s legally required for individuals on construction sites across Australia.
Skills Training College is a registered training organisation and its CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry course is nationally accredited and recognised Australia-wide. This card certifies that the holder is trained in vital safety practices necessary for the construction industry.
If your white card is lost or damaged you can request a replacement card by contacting us. Depending on where you are located, the following applies:
If you are located in Tasmania or the Northern Territory and do not apply for your replacement White Card from your state government within 60 days of course completion, you will require a letter from Skills Training College stating that you have completed the course to apply. *Please Note: We will issue a letter for students only up to 4 months after the completion of the white card course. If over 4 months have lapsed, you will be required to attend the White Card Course again at full price.
