The face-to-face training day runs for 6 hours, typically 9:00am–3:00pm. You receive your same-day Statement of Attainment and physical White Card on successful completion.

Anyone entering or working on a construction site in TAS – labourers, apprentices, tradies (electricians, plumbers, carpenters, roofers), site supervisors, surveyors, delivery drivers and site visitors. The requirement applies to all TAS construction sites under the WHS Act 2012 (TAS).
CPCWHS1001 is the current nationally recognised unit code for the White Card course (introduced in 2020). CPCCWHS1001 is the older superseded code. SafeWork TAS accepts the current CPCWHS1001 unit, which is what Skills Training College delivers.
For your TAS White Card course, wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and either a t-shirt or a long-sleeve shirt. A hard hat may be provided for the practical demonstration. These items form part of the personal protective equipment (PPE) used during general construction induction training.

Yes it is. Your White Card TAS is recognised in every Australian state and territory under mutual recognition. The CPCWHS1001 unit and the White Card itself are nationally accredited — you can work on construction sites anywhere in Australia.
You must apply through the Tasmanian Government within 60 days of course completion. Visit this link for details.
If you do not apply for your replacement White Card from your state government within 60 days of course completion, you will require a letter from Skills Training College stating that you have completed the course to apply. *Please Note: We will issue a letter for students only up to 4 months after the completion of the white card course. If over 4 months have lapsed, you will be required to attend the White Card Course again at full price.
