For domestic students, our Certificate II in Security Operations uses a blended delivery method. We combine independent, self-paced online learning with in-person, practical training. We strongly recommend completing the online portion first to prepare for your face-to-face training. Practical classes run over fulltime hours, beginning 9am and continuing until 5pm each weekday over five days, with additional self-paced exams for you to complete at home.
If any student has first aid certificate they have completed prior to this security course and they can provide evidence, they will have one fewer days in-person classes needed to attend.
Book early, as space is limited for both our domestic and international Gold Coast classes.
The fee for domestic students is a single upfront payment of $599 for the entire course.
For all students there is a cancellation fee of $100. Terms and conditions for cancellation and rescheduling fees can be found here.

Yes. After completing CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations, you can apply to the Queensland Office of Fair Trading for a security licence lasting for six months, one year, or three years. Approximately six weeks before your security licence is due to expire, the Queensland government will contact you with a reminder to renew your licence so you can continue to work as a security officer. Renewing your licence does not require refresher training.
Yes, in most circumstances it is possible to transfer your security licence to a different state. This is done through a process known as mutual recognition, of which the details and costs are different for each state. You can find out how to apply for mutual recognition by checking the government website of the state you are looking to transfer to.
