There are no prior formal academic requirements necessary to enrol in one of our coffee school courses. However, students must possesses essential skills in written and verbal English and numeracy in order to:
Take a customer’s order and make recommendations.
Read instructions for operating, cleaning, and maintaining equipment including a coffee machine.
Read recipes and ingredient details.
Use the correct volumes of milk, coffee grounds, and shot size, and brew ratios.
Our coffee training courses are conducted entirely in-person from Level 2/45 Grenfell Street in Adelaide’s CBD. A barista course training session takes place over a single, five hour day, leading to a same day certificate for our graduates.
We use smaller, more practical class sizes so students can get the most from their barista training, get hands on training from their expert barista experienced trainers, and experiment with making latte art. This means space for our coffee classes is limited, and it is best to book early.
