Where can a CPR course take your career?
Our short and sharp CPR Certification Course (HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation) is the latest nationally accredited qualification for health care workers. It’s also suitable for anyone who wants lifesaving first aid knowledge. It’s a qualification that can give you the edge in all sorts of occupations.
This first aid course is perfect for learners who wish to become a:
WHS Representative
First Aid Officer
What will you learn in the CPR Certification STC Course?
This course will teach you how to perform CPR in a range of situations. The techniques you learn reflect the Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines, so you can be confident that you are learning the most up-to-date methods. Because adults and infants don’t have exactly the same anatomy, you will get hands-on training on baby, child and adult manikins. What’s more, you will also learn how to use an automatic external defibrillator (AED).
CPR Course Delivery
Although the face-to-face course is in a classroom setting or your workplace, we also provide you with a Learner Guide via email that you must read beforehand. That makes the theory much clearer and the multiple -choice assessment easier.
In both the online and face-to-face first aid courses you have to show that you are capable of performing CPR and using an AED defibrillator on manikins.

Why do CPR?
The question should be ‘why not do CPR?’. CPR and defibrillation save lives. It’s also the case that resuscitation skills and knowledge are needed and even mandated in all sorts of occupations. For instance, childcare workers, teachers, sports coaches, flight attendants and even electricians either have to know how to do CPR or ought to. That’s why it’s an essential first aid course.
CPR involves pushing the chest in the right spot and blowing air into the lungs so as to maintain the flow of oxygenated blood when a person’s heart has stopped and they are not breathing. That can be a drowning victim or someone who has had a cardiac arrest.
Training in this lifesaving procedure means that in the crucial minutes before the ambulance arrives you can prevent permanent brain damage or death by keeping blood moving to the major organs.
