WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid is the ideal course for anyone interested in learning how to handle various medical emergencies, from minor injuries to accidents.

This training covers essential skills such as wound cleaning and dressing, using an Epi-Pen, placing someone in the recovery position, basic emergency life support, and effectively describing an emergency over the phone to assist responders.

Additionally, the course will teach you how to safely manage situations such as vomiting, choking, asthma, bleeding, anaphylaxis, shock, broken bones, dislocations, fractures, sprains, and strains.

The course consists of three (3) hours of classroom instruction and practical application, including readings, presentations, and hands-on exercises. It concludes with evaluation tasks, and upon completion, you will receive a nationally recognized first-aid certificate.

Our first aid, CPR, and CPR refresher training courses have no academic or work experience based requirements to enrol. All students need to do is to meet the following basic prerequisites:

Students will need a basic understanding of both written and verbal English. This ensures they’re equipped to understand the course training materials and their trainer.
Students must be at least 14 years of age. Any student under the age of 18 must submit a signed Parental Consent Form at least 48 hours before commencement of training
Students will require a Unique Student Identifier (USI) Number. If you’ve studied before you may already have one which you can find by searching online.
