The formally titled HLTAID011 Provide First Aid course is crucial for acquiring the necessary skills to address emergencies, accidents, and critical life-threatening circumstances. WHO NEEDS A FIRST AID COURSE?

CPR Course Glenelg

Upon undertaking a CPR course, participants learn the essential steps involved in performing CPR, mnemonic devices to aid in long-term retention of the CPR steps, and the distinctions in administering CPR for adults versus children. Following the 90-minute in-person training session, participants receive a nationally recognised statement of attainment, validating their newly acquired skills and knowledge.
Glenelg CPR Refresher Course
The Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) recommends retaking a CPR course every twelve months to ensure that the critical skills remain second nature. If you ever find yourself in an emergency situation where CPR is required, you don’t want to struggle to remember what to do, you need the skills to be innate.
A CPR refresher course is the same as a regular CPR course in every regard. Courses last for 90 minutes, cost $39 per person, and are conducted from our Glenelg training venue at The Glenelg Club, Glenelg Oval, Brighton Road, Glenelg East, 5045.
Enrolment & Eligibility
Skills Training College’s first aid and CPR courses have minimal entry requirements, requiring no prior academic or professional qualifications for enrollment. However, all prospective students are required to meet the following minimum criteria:
- Basic written and verbal English is needed to engage with the course materials and complete the training and assessment activities.
- All students must be 18 years old or provide acceptable permission from a parent or guardian.
- Students require a Unique Student Identifier (USI) Number. If you’ve studied before you may already have one which you can find by searching online.
- Basic levels of fitness and physical ability.

No, a first aid certificate does not expire. However, first aid is constantly changing and evolving, and as such it is strongly recommended that first aid refresher training be taken every three years to ensure that your first aid knowledge and skills remain current.
