Skills Training College PTY LTD (ABN:86 636 959 512) is an Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO: 45654 ).
As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), Skills Training College is legally obligated to retain student records in accordance with national regulatory requirements. These obligations are set out under the:
National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011, Section 8;
Standards for RTOs 2025, effective from 1 July 2025;
National VET Data Policy and AVETMISS reporting framework, overseen by the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER).
Under these standards:
All student data—including enrolment details, participation records, and withdrawal status—must be securely retained and reported as part of our compliance with Total VET Activity (TVA) reporting;
This obligation applies even where a student withdraws or elects not to receive a Statement of Attainment or Qualification;
Where a student does not provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI), this must still be recorded as part of the AVETMISS dataset using a designated placeholder, with the associated enrolment data retained for audit and statistical purposes.
These requirements ensure integrity in national VET data reporting, compliance with our RTO registration, and alignment with the outcome-focused principles of the Standards for RTOs 2025.

- Collecting unique student identifier (USI) information is a critical process for a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). A USI is a unique reference number that allows for accurate and efficient tracking of a student’s educational and training achievements. This information ensures that RTOs can maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of each student’s progress and qualifications, facilitating compliance with regulatory requirements and providing students with a seamless educational experience.
We may also collect personal information from you when you use and access our websites (including, but not limited to, any information contained in an online enquiry, device type and ID, IP address, pages you visited, time and date of visit and geo-location information).

Enrolment in courses sponsored by an employer, Job Seeker Agency (JSA), Employers Referring Agents, Funding Bodies or similar, signifies the student’s agreement for the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) to disseminate the following information:
- Course Status: This includes details such as Attendance, Progression, Withdrawal, and Completion.
- Payments & Invoicing: Specifically, those invoices settled by the organisation.
- Disciplinary Records.
This agreement is essential for facilitating transparent communication and collaboration among the employer, student, and pertinent stakeholders involved in the educational process.
Security and Data Retention
We employ robust security measures to protect your personal information and retain your data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy or as required by applicable laws and regulations.

As a student, you have rights concerning your personal information, including:
